NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007

The English Schools' Ski Association National Championships will take place as follows:

THE QUALIFYING RACES

These will comprise Age Group Races.

The Age Groups are defined as follows:

I - Pupils in Year 6 and below, born 1 September 1996 and later

II - Pupils in Years 7 and 8, born 1 September 1994 – 31 August 1996

III - Pupils in Years 9 and 10, born 1 September 1992 – 31 August 1994

1V - Pupils in Year 11 and above, born 1 September 1988 - 31 August 1992

Schools wishing to enter teams must be paid up members of E.S.SKI A.

The races are for school teams, which consist of a maximum of FOUR skiers and a minimum of THREE.

Teams must be made up of pupils from the same school under one Head, and all skiers must be genuine full time pupils on the roll during the Autumn Term of the school they are representing.

Schools may enter up to TWO teams in each age group.  Mixed teams of four MUST comprise two girls and two boys.  Only ONE Mixed team per school is permitted.  (Should any Qualifying Race be undersubscribed consideration will be given to extra entries, which will NOT be eligible for the Finals). 

A team may be made up of school pupils of any age - the team must compete in the age group of the oldest skier in the team on the day of the Qualifier.

No skier may race in more than one team.

The race will consist of two runs over the same slalom course.

The team score will be the aggregate of the best three times for each run.  If less than three team members complete a run, the team will be disqualified.

E.S.SKI A.
